When the megaspells rain down, Lyra is barely able to get her family to Stable 93 in time. Injured in a balefire blast, she’s put into an experimental Z-CORE healing tank to recover.
She wakes up twenty years later to find Stable 93 abandoned and her husband and son missing.
Along with her medical robot companion BON-80n, she ventures into the brutal Buckstone wasteland on a desperate quest to reunite her family. But as she struggles to survive, she must also struggle not to be corrupted by a world that has lost all sense of right and wrong.
